Volunteering

Last calendar year, 940 kind and caring people in our community donated 9,203 volunteer hours in support of The Shade Tree!

Volunteers assist us with special events such as monthly birthday parties for the children, back-to-school carnivals, and fundraisers such as golf tournaments, fashion shows and pet fairs. Volunteers also prepare and serve meals, tutored the children,did art, crafts, and music with the children, sorted donated items, drove clients to appointments, and helped with cleaning, painting and yard work.

Some of our volunteers come every week and some come only as their schedules allow. We provide opportunities for individual and group vounteers. Whatever your circumstance; your help is more than appreciated!
