While The Shade Tree is extremely grateful for the operational funding provided by Clark County, Cities of Las Vegas, North Las Vegas and Henderson, State of Nevada Division of Child and Family Services, and HUD, these funds only provide for 28% of our total annual budget. Next fiscal year it will drop even more to 15%.

The levels of grant support identified above, stresses the importance of community support and on-going operational efficiency. This year, 72% operational funding is needed from non-grant based funding streams. Next year the needed amount will increase to 85%. Consequently, direct donations, fundraisers and special events are, and will remain, critical to our continued success.

The Shade Tree has structured its funding plan to ensure that the agency is not wholly dependent on any one funding source. This helps to ensure program preservation and long-term organizational sustainability.

THE SHADE TREE RECEIVES 4-STAR RATING
