Celebrating Our Silver Anniversary In 2014
The Shade Tree opened its doors in 1989 with a mission to serve our community and we are so pleased to be celebrating 25 years of service in Las Vegas. In honor of this huge milestone, we've launched a new donor program called Protectors Of Hope. Please visit our $25 for 25 Pledge page for complete details.
Day Shelter Is Open
Our Day Shelter is now open from 10:30 am - 7 pm. We invite up to 25 women or women with children to take a break from the heat and cool off with us in a safe, welcoming environment. Meals, showers, laundry facilities, telephone, limited Life Skills classes, and mail service are available free of charge. For more information about our Day Shelter program, please call us at (702) 385-0072.
"Horses 4 Heroes" Teams Up To Help Our Survivors Of Abuse
Every week, Horses 4 Heroes opens their facility to our families with the goal of using animal therapy to help our women and children heal from the pain suffered through abuse and violence. Their partnership is invaluable as it offers another avenue to help rebuild their lives after crisis.
From current tenants of The Shade Tree:
"This program was my salvation. I was going through a lot. The horse's gave me a peace of mind...I don't have a daughter with me right now and Horses 4 Heroes lifted my spirits."
"Horses 4 Heroes is one of the most gratifying experiences I have had in the past months. It helps me deal with stress and relaxes me. I love working with the horses. Thank you." [LEARN MORE]

Use Your Web Searches To Help Raise Money
GoodSearch.com is the Yahoo-powered search engine that donates money every time you search the web. Select The Shade Tree as your charity on each website and ask all your friends and business associates to do the same. Our combined network of friends will make those searches and purchases on-line add up to dollars for homeless and abused women and children at The Shade Tree.
