Our programs and services are designed to offer safety and opportunity.
Two distinctly different types of needs are being met at The Shade
Tree. First, women and children who are homeless or who have been
abused are offered immediate protection and safety. Next, we begin
the critically important work of helping our clients take the
steps necessary to allow them to return to a life of stability,
dignity, and self-reliance.
We offer our clients the tools they need
to break the cycle of
homelessness and abuse.
We currently offer eight individual programs all designed to break
the cycle of abuse
and homelessness. These programs include: services
for victims of violence, job development
skills program, children's
activity and educational program, transitional shelter, emergency
shelter, and day shelter. Further, The Shade
Tree is a designated SAFE Place site for all community youth.
