Anniversary Dinner and Fundraiser, “An Evening at the Fountains” Will Honor Pasquale Rotella, Hakkasan Group, and Travis Turner
LAS VEGAS, NV — The Shade Tree, a shelter for women, children, and their pets, will celebrate 27 years helping the homeless and those who are victims of domestic violence in Las Vegas community. The 27th Anniversary Dinner and fundraiser will take place November 20, at 6:00 pm at Lago in the Bellagio.
“An Evening at the Fountains promises to be an exciting event to celebrate the commitment of our wonderful honorees and the amazing work The Shade Tree does to help victims of domestic violence,” said Beli Andaluz, The Shade Tree Board Chair. “The Shade Tree has an enormous impact on our community and I am proud to work with such a life-changing organization.”
The dinner will be prepared by celebrity Chef Julian Serrano. Guests and honorees, Pasquale Rotella of Insomniac and Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas, Hakkasan Group, and Travis Turner Immediate Past Chair of the Board, will come together to celebrate The Shade Tree’s tremendous work, over an evening of fine dining and fundraising. The Hakkasan Group raised over $63,000, another $10,000 in supplies, and donated many hours of professional development to The Shade Tree. Board Member, Travis Turner, has been a steadfast proponent for the mission of The Shade Tree and has worked tirelessly both on and off site for the last three years.
The Shade Tree is Southern Nevada’s only 24-hour accessible emergency shelter for women and children in crisis, providing over 100,000 nights of shelter, supplying more than 165,000 meals every year, and servicing over 6,000 women and children annually. The 27th Anniversary Dinner aims to raise awareness and funds to support the shelter’s mission while also recognizing the honoree’s contributions.
“Twenty-seven years of lives being saved and twenty-seven years of heroes is something to really celebrate,” said Marlene Richter, Executive Director of The Shade Tree. “Anniversaries are a good time to reflect and set new intentions, it’s what we ask so many of our clients to do. We want them to grow to understand that regardless of what happened yesterday, The Shade Tree can be an answer for a better tomorrow.”
The evening will be emceed by award winning news anchor Paula Francis and will include a silent auction.
